The acquisition of Standard Networks gives Ipswitch product coverage across a broad spectrum of businesses. We now can enable a company to have a choice of file transfer alternatives whether they are a large enterprise business with a distributed environment, a small to medium business or even a SOHO business. By offering solutions across each segment, more businesses can enjoy the benefits of buying and using a file transfer solution that is based on years of research and development with a strong support infrastructure regardless of how small or large the business is or where that business is located. In short, we offer a file transfer value to any customer, in any segment.
What does the acquisition mean to me regarding my Standard Networks’ product enhancements and support?
Standard Network customers can expect the same level of product support that they have been accustomed to prior to the acquisition. Additionally, Standard Network customers will realize additional product enhancements that are in keeping with their evolving needs. The MOVEit product will join the rest of the Ipswitch family of file transfer products as the best file transfer products in terms of value, performance, deployment and management.

Will Standard Network continue to call itself that or is it now Ipswitch?
Ipswitch is pleased to welcome the Standard Networks team and its strong brand to the Ipswitch family of products. Standard Networks is now a part of the Ipswitch File Transfer division and will operate as an integral part of the division under the Ipswitch name.
How does the acquisition benefit MOVEit customers?
Ipswitch is a 250-person privately held company that has extensive experience serving the file transfer and secure file transfer markets, with some 40 million users worldwide for the Ipswitch WS_FTP clients and servers. The MOVEit brand is synonymous with quality. The products are a perfect complement to the Ipswitch file transfer product line. The combined offerings enable Ipswitch to quickly become a major provider in the fast-growing secure managed file transfer in the enterprise segment.
The expanded financial resources and additional management, development, and marketing support that Ipswitch is committing to the MOVEit product will result in valuable benefits to the MOVEit customers.
Is the pricing in my current MOVEit quote or proposal still valid?

How will this effect my MOVEit software license agreement?

What happens to the Standard Network product roadmap? Is Ipswitch merging the products?
The Ipswitch and Standard Network teams plan to share technologies that will result in synergy between MOVEit and WS_FTP. That means we will be adding features that will bring the MOVEit and WS_FTP product lines into cohesive, complementary offerings. The Ipswitch file transfer family of products will be developed to best serve its respective market segments:
- enterprise for MOVEit;
- SOHO and,
- SMB markets for WS_FTP.
Ipswitch plans to work closely with MOVEit customers to ensure that the MOVEit product continues to offer customers the most comprehensive product features available for enterprise file transfer capabilities today.
Will Ipswitch retire any products?
Both MOVEit and WS_FTP are leaders and represent strong offerings in their respective markets. Both MOVEit and WS_FTP have benefited from years of development. Both are designed meet the requirements of different market segments with very little overlap between products. Ipswitch has no plans for to conduct end of lifecycle. In fact just the opposite is true. Ipswitch plans on adding functionality to both product lines.
